Blood Pressure Stabilization and Vascular Function Enhancement with Hydrogen-Oxygen Nanobubble Therapy in Stage 1 Hypertension: A Case Report

Abstract
Background. Hypertension is a leading global health burden, with challenges in conventional therapies including poor adherence and adverse effects. Hydrogen-Oxygen Nanobubble (NB-HHO) therapy combines the antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects of molecular hydrogen (H₂) with enhanced delivery via nanobubble technology, offering a novel non-pharmacological approach.
Case presentation. A 41-year-old male with a 10-year history of untreated Stage 1 hypertension (baseline blood pressure: 141/95 mmHg) received 12 sessions of intravenous NB-HHO therapy (5–20 mL) with supplemental oxygen over four weeks. Blood pressure progressively decreased, stabilizing at 120/80 mmHg by session 10. Heart rate remained stable, and no adverse events were reported.
Discussion. NB-HHO therapy likely achieved blood pressure control through ROS scavenging, enhanced antioxidant defenses, and improved endothelial function. Oxygen inhalation
may have further supported mitochondrial bioenergetics and autonomic balance.
Conclusion. NBHHO therapy was safe and effective in normalizing blood pressure without pharmacotherapy in this case. Larger trials are needed to validate these findings and clarify mechanisms.
